The Side Effects of Radiation Therapy on Prostate Cancer are predictable. Apart from the risk of another cancer, it is usually the same with all other the treatment for prostate cancer: they include infertility, loss of potency and bowel obstruction. The major hazard is the damage of the epithelial tissues of the skin where the part is exposed to radiation. There is also the collateral radiation damage, this damage of the immediate tissues where it may hit some very important organs less durable to the effects of radiation. The genitals are probable to be hit, thus causing infertility. Some of the risks include increase in urinary frequency, rectal troubles, and damage to the surrounding tissues. Another most commonly noticed symptoms are tiredness but the exact cause is still a mystery.
