The Culprit GENE causing skin cancer found

More than 70% of melanoma skin cancers may be prompted by a gene mutation that makes the cells to become malignant after extreme exposure to the sun. This was the latest report researchers said. This new grade discovery of this gene could lead to enhanced treatments for the most lethal form of skin cancer after scientists at Britain's cancer institute Research recognized the BRAF genetic mutation which is often the first event in the genetic changes leading to melanoma. The people already knew the BRAF gene was frequently damaged in patients with melanoma, but it was not up to the certainty that it could cause cancer.
