Brain Cancer Overview

There are generally two types of brain tumors. They are the primary and secondary tumors. Primary tumors originate in the brain through metastasis. Primary brain tumors can either be cancerous or non-cancerous. The secondary tumors originate from cancer cells that have migrated from other parts of the body. Primary brain cancer on the odd occasion spreads beyond the central nervous system, and death results from uninhibited tumor growth within the limited space of the skull. Metastasis brain cancer indicates highly developed disease and has a poor diagnosis.
