95% of the Thyroid Lumps are not CANCER

Thyroid cancer can come in any age group, even though it is not the common ailments after age 30 and its belligerence boosts up significantly in older group of patients. The majority of patients present among a lump on their thyroid which characteristically does not cause symptoms. Remember, over 99% of thyroid nodules are not cancer! But, when a thyroid cancer does start to grow surrounded by a thyroid gland, it more or less always does so inside a discrete lump within the thyroid.
