CANCER DEATHS

Even today cancer remains the second leading reason for fatality in USA. Lung cancer is the deadliest of cancers and this malignancy takes more lives than any other cancers. Survival rate is purely related to how early the disease is being diagnosed. Researchers proved that patient with most fatal forms such as lung cancer, pancreatic and liver cancers have a very short period of survival. A recent report suggests that the survival rate have improved with the women with colon, kidney and breast cancers. White women are less likely to die of breast cancer than black woman. Lung cancer is very common with men due to smoking habits. Cancer deaths have slowly declined globally because of the fact that there are better treatment and diagnostic techniques that are available today. This helps in screening cancer in the early stage itself and thereby improving the patient’s life expectancy. With the latest available treatment methods, a cancer detected in the early stages have the high possibility of attaining complete cure.
